Nearly all gasses can be measured including natural gas, oxygen, argon, hydrogen, nitrogen, CO2, methane and ambient air. Previously, before the PT878GC there was no way of measuring gas in metal pipes however, now using the PT878GC this is no longer a problem. Sophisticated signal processing and technology of the PT878GC means the clamp on flow meter can be used to measure gases at low and high pressure in metal, non-ferrous and plastic pipes.

One of the great features of this meter that makes it so popular is that it is perfectly portable and non invasive meaning it can be used without the need for modification to existing pipework. This is most important when working with erosive, corrosive, high purity and sterile gases as it keeps cost to a minimum.
