Due to business growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an Assembly and Test Support to join our dedicated service team responsible for assisting our Assembly, Production, and Testing teams.
You will support internal team members across multiple departments. The person in this role will need to apply themselves across different tasks using various methods. The ideal candidate will be precise, clean, and tidy in their work, methodical, and able to collaborate effectively under pressure. This role requires self-management to provide flexible and timely support to the team.
Assembly & Test Support Duties:
Assembly:
- Assist technical build and assembly with bulk engineering tasks such as cutting, drilling, and fixing components into custom systems, kiosks, and general asset builds.
- Provide a secondary check on builds and assemblies for work validation.
- Produce assemblies as required in line with skillset and training.
- Cover for team members during holidays and absences within the limits of skillset and training.
Production:
- Assist production with bulk tasks such as material prep, cleaning of 3D printed parts, and component assembly.
- Set up and use the laser engraving system.
- Assist with other production tasks in line with skillset and training.
- Cover for production during holidays and absences within the limits of skillset and training.
Testing:
- Assist testing with tasks such as test preparation, prep of test equipment, and basic data gathering.
- Perform testing tasks that do not include final sign-off of sensor testing.
- Provide assistance in line with skillset and training.
Assembly & Test Support Requirements:
- Role requires physical activity and manual handling of goods and equipment. PPE such as safety footwear is required and provided.
- Technical knowledge/skills or a strong interest in technical equipment; must be able to learn a variety of product-specific operations.
- Able to work under pressure and manage priorities effectively.
- Highly organised and accurate, able to plan ahead and manage projects with precision.
- Self-motivated and capable of managing own workload individually or as part of a team.
- Fast learner, eager to acquire new skills and technical knowledge.
- Team player with good decision-making and interpersonal skills.
- Good IT skills, proficient in Microsoft Office and various third-party software.
Beneficial but not essential:
- Soldering and electrical experience
- Previous assembly experience including panel building
- Precise product testing experience

Flexible Working Hours
- Standard Full-Time Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, within core hours (08:00-18:00), with a 30-minute lunch break.
