Clamp On Flare Gas Measurement
RS Hydro are now able to offer flare gas measurement surveys. This is a particularly useful service for companies who need to comply with international regulations, are trying to identifying leaks, and flare burner control.
RS Hydro are now able to offer flare gas measurement surveys. This is a particularly useful service for companies who need to comply with international regulations, are trying identifying leaks, and flare burner control.
The introduction of the Panametrics CTF878 now means that these surveys can even be carried out on low pressure applications where previously the minimum pressure for any meter was 10 bar. The CTF878 is still the only meter worldwide that is capable of such low pressures and is ideal for use on pipe diameters between 4” and 30” where velocities are typically 1 - 46 m/s.
Offshore Flare Gas Measurement
RS Hydro were recently contracted by one of the main oil companies in the UK to carry out a flare gas measurement survey. This project involved RS Hydro engineers installing several CTF878 ultraonic flow meters offshore (North Sea) to measure 16” and 24” flare lines. The CTF878s were installed on flare lines and compressor lines with pressures as low as 1.02 barg as a short to medium term solution.
The two meters were installed within 24 hours by the engineer and were set up to log all flow data recorded by the meter and also relayed via two analogue 4 – 20 mA signal outputs.
RS Hydro are specialists in clamp on gas flow measurement and provide a comprehensive sales, rental and installation service worldwide, onshore or offshore.
