RS Hydro are pleased to announce the launch of an all-new 122 interface meter from Solinst now with ATEX and Laser Markings
For over 20 years the outgoing interface meter has been a firm favourite with consultants and technicians in the UK looking to measure water level, LNAPLs and DNAPLs and we are confident the new interface meter will carry on leading the way for many more years to come.
One of the common questions asked is why the previous 122 Interface Meter did not come with an ATEX rating. While the 122 interface meter was intrinsically safe certified by the Canadian Standard Authority (CSA) this rating is predominately for the north American market. Through distributor and customer feedback Solinst made the decision to attain the ATEX rating for the new 122 Interface Meter. For those not familiar with ATEX the rating it is a European directive for controlling explosive atmospheres. In the case of interface meters this is vitally important when working on landfill and petrochemical sites, it protects the people using the equipment and their surroundings, ATEX rating is very important when considering health and safety implications. Further information on ATEX rating can be found on the Health and Safety executive website http://www.rshydro.co.uk/flow-meters/open-channel-flowmeter/open-channel-flow-meters-stream-river-partially-filled/isco-2150-atex-area-velocity-flow-meter/
The all new 122 interface meter now available is a much anticipated product, some of the new features include an ATEX rating, brand new probe, laser marked PVDF tape and reworked more efficient internal electronics.
Laser Marked Tape Solinst are the only manufacturer in the world to use laser marked tape on their water level meter range. It is almost impossible to remove the indelible markings from the tape meaning they will be less likely to fade over time through use in leachate environments especially. Unlike other polyethylene printed tapes which fade in some cases very quickly and lose their rigidity, This tape maintains rigidity, can sustain up to 100kg of weight and is non-stretch and is very easy to clean/decontaminate.
The new Interface Meter is available and ready on next day delivery, if you have any questions on this product or would like a demo please call 01527882060 and speak to one of our experienced engineers today.
