Teledyne ISCO’s LevelRay is a non-contact radar level sensor that uses FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) technology to measure liquid levels. Installed above the flow, it emits a linearly swept-frequency radar signal toward the liquid surface and receives the reflected signal. The small time difference between the transmitted and received signals generates a beat frequency that is directly related to distance, enabling precise level measurement. Because it operates without direct contact, the sensor reduces maintenance needs and delivers reliable performance in challenging conditions involving chemicals, grease, silt, or suspended solids.
